Work in progress..... stay tune
Bring hope, dignity, and healing to those affected by imprisonment.
You can support this ministry in many ways - even if you're not a volunteer.
1. Pray
Prayer is the heart of our ministry. Lift up prisoners, ex-offenders, their families, and prison staff, asking God to bring light into places of darkness.
Pray for:
Those behind bars, that they may find healing, mercy, and hope in Christ.
Families struggling with separation or feelings of hurt and betrayal.
Ex-offenders rebuilding their lives, reconciling with loved ones, and reintegrating into society.
Victims of crime, that they may experience comfort and healing.
Volunteers, chaplains, and all who serve in prison ministry, that they may be strengthened with compassion, wisdom, and perseverance.
2. Be a Befriender
Friendship changes lives. Many ex-offenders feel isolated, especially when reintegrating into parish life.
You can:
Accompany someone to Mass or parish events.
Listen and encourage during their reintegration.
Build trust and compassion to restore dignity.
Training and ongoing support are provided for all befrienders.
3. Advocate
Breaking free from prison is one step; breaking free from stigma is another.
You can help by:
Speaking up about the struggles ex-offenders face.
Reducing prejudice and changing perceptions in your community.
Sharing our mission with friends, family, and parish networks.
Business owners: Offer employment opportunities to give ex-offenders dignity, purpose, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
